Southeast Territory Sales Representative – Industrial Packaging Machinery

Location: Southeast United States (SC, GA, AL, TN, NC, MS)

Role Description​

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative with a strong background in flexible packaging equipment automation sales. This role is pivotal in driving sales by engaging with both prospective and existing customers across the Southeast United States, delivering tailored packaging solutions, while ensuring a seamless customer experience. Successful candidates will possess a deep knowledge of the packaging equipment industry, a proactive sales approach, and a collaborative mindset. The role will be located within the Southeast territory (SC, GA, AL, TN, NC, MS).

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Actively engage in both inbound and outbound sales calls, building and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects
  • Solution Selling: Focus on bringing the full range of product solutions to clients through consultative conversations to understand their unique needs, presenting customized packaging automation and integration solutions
  • Sales Tools & Techniques: Leverage sales tools and techniques to proactively identify new sales opportunities, convert prospects, and drive revenue growth
  • Collaborative Sales Process: Work closely with the Sales Manager, Project Manager, Office Manager, and Field Service Technicians to ensure a smooth and consistent customer experience from initial contact to project completion
  • Planning & Execution: Effectively plan, organize, and execute sales calling efforts, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship building with customers
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit detailed sales reports, including call logs and pipeline updates, to the Sales Manager
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge

Job Requirements & Basic Qualifications

  • Must reside within the Southeast (SC, GA, AL, TN, NC, MS) and be able to travel weekly, with the potential for overnight stays, to meet customers and prospects on-site.
  • Proven history of experience in sales within the flexible packaging equipment automation industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of flexible packaging machinery, automation systems, and industrial integration
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, ensuring a cohesive approach to customer service
  • Comfortable with frequent travel, including overnight stays when necessary
